How to sign-in

 

Using your campus email, sign in via the link at the bottom of any page .  Access to the site can be configured two ways.

  1. Associate the campus email with an existing Google account.
  2. Create a separate Google account associated with your campus email.

 Folks are doing it both ways; I choose to have separate Google accounts for personal life and work life.

 

When you click the sign in button, one of two things will happen:

 
  1. You will seamlessly gain access to the protected content because your campus email account is associated with a Google account and you are already logged in to that Google account.
  2. You will be prompted to login to your Google account, from here there are three possibilities:  
  • If you already have a Google account associated with your campus email, and your email address has permission to view the content, you will log in and gain access to the protected content. 
  • If you already have a Google account associated with your campus email, but have not been granted permission to view the content, you will be prompted to request permission from the site owner.  The site owner will receive an automated email prompting her to grant you access; access will be granted to any employee of an ORCA library. You must use your campus email address.
  • If you do not have a Google account associated with your campus email, you can create one or associate your campus email address with an existing Google account. Once created, you will login and either be granted access or prompted to request access from the site owner.
